Cecilia Lim

  Cecilia is a first-generation American Filipina and the creator of Kwento Comics, a division of Double Forest Entertainment, LLC. She has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. 

In LA, Cecilia has worked on the 45th and 46th Daytime Emmy Events and is a member and supporter of FilAm Creative. Cecilia believes in giving back to the community and through the years, she has given of her time to create and produce several large charity events in Palm Beach Florida and Los Angeles. Now, Cecilia’s focus is on women empowerment and growth. With her plans for financial education for women, she is opening the doors for women of all ages

to take charge of their finances and investments.

 Finally, Cecilia is passionate about providing women of all ages and races stories that will inspire and spark the imagination. She is confident that Kwento Comics can do just that.       



Kaitlyn Fae

Kaitlyn Fae is a Filipina-American writer/director who graduated with a B.A. in English from UC Santa Barbara in 2012. Her body of written works includes short stories, literary and film analyses, poetry, spoken word, plays, short films, web series episodes, original pilots, and TV specs.  She has written for publications such as Highbrow Magazine, Gentlemen's Guide LA, Latino Bride and Groom, and MyQuince.

Since 2017, she has served as the Director of Writing at Filam Creative, a community organization dedicated to the advancement of Filipino Americans in media and entertainment. So far she has produced two writing courses within the organization and created a writer's network boasting over forty members. 

Madeira, the first short film she wrote and directed, premiered at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival in 2017 and won Best Music at the Feedback Film Festival the following year.

Following Jamie, a short she co-wrote and co-starred in last year, has been shown at a number of festivals and screenings across the US, including HAAPIFEST, DCAPA, and the Silicon Beach Film Festival.  

Kaitlyn is a co-producer and co-host on PanGeekery, a podcast that delves into geek news and discussion from an all-diverse perspective.  Her latest creation, a rom com short she wrote and directed entitled "Fruit Fly," is currently in post-production. 



Jenapher Zheng

 Jenapher Zheng is a Chinese-American actor, writer, gamer, model, and visual artist with her B.A.’s in Theatre and English from UC Riverside and her MFA in Acting from CalArts. Her writing credits include articles published on HuffPost and Angry Asian Man, poetry on ItsReal Magazine, immersive/interactive shows, short films, plays, short stories, and literary analysis. She is a co-producer and co-host on the PanGeekery, a video podcast that covers all things geek from an all-diverse perspective.  

Her theatrical acting credits include Seize the King at La Jolla Playhouse, Kentucky at East West Players, Fantomas at Wuzhen International Theatre Festival, the immersive ASMR show Whisperlodge, and readings of The Great Leap at San Diego Old Globe and Tokyo Fish Story at South Coast Repertory.  

She is active in the filmmaking circuit: Following Jamie, a short film she starred in last year, has been shown at a number of festivals across the US including HAAPIFest, DCAPA, Asian World, and the Silicon Beach Film Festival.   

Most recently, she can be seen in the upcoming production of Man of God at the Geffen Playhouse, as well as in the Niantic mobile AR game Ingress as Dr. Victoria Kureze. 



Kathryn Layno

Kathryn is a Filipino artist based in her hometown, Cebu. She is passionate about bringing stories to life through her various illustration work, coloring and drawing comics, and composing music. 

She has colored for comics under DC (Batman Legends of the Dark Knight, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe), BOOM! Studios (Irredeemable), Image Comics (Eisner-nominated One Week In The Library), and Action Lab (Skyward). She has drawn for independent comics for IDW (Womanthology : Space), 16 Debut A Comic Anthology, Mike Garley's Dead Roots, David Lloyd's Aces Weekly and Sequential Muse. She has also done illustration work for Brandon Sanderson's Shadows Beneath Anthology. 

She was a speaker at Visual 4 Graphic Design Conference and is currently supporting the growth and development of the artistic community in Cebu as member of the Cebu Illustrators Guild and a Huion brand Evangelist for the Philippines.
